Career downfall after injury
Even though Trout has solidified his reputation as one of the greatest players of all time, he hasn’t had an easy time in recent years. Indeed, a lot of fans and commentators believe that Trout might have been the greatest of all time (GOAT) if it weren’t for his current slump.
In addition, Trout missed most of the previous season due to a meniscus tear that occurred in April. Given his deteriorating career and performances, many have expressed concerns about his long-term future with the Angels.
Trout is also thinking about switching from center field in an effort to revitalize his career. He stated last year: “I think there will undoubtedly be some conversations in the offseason.”
It’s the truth. I am aware that I have a set number of years left on my contract, and I anticipated moving to a corner at some point when I signed it. Is it next year, though? I am not sure. We will converse, though.
Career Beginnings
Trout played for Tri-State Arsenal, a top travel program, while still a high school student. He then played for the Arizona Angels, the team’s rookie team, and the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Class A Midwest League. Trout was then promoted to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the Class A-Advanced California League. He became the youngest player in history to win the Topps Minor League Player of the Year Award for his outstanding play during the 2010 season. Subsequently, in 2011, he played for the Class AA Texas League’s Arkansas Travelers.

He led the AL in slugging and on-base percentage and finished with a career-high 45 home runs, despite having his season cut short due to foot surgery. Trout also won his third AL MVP award. He broke the Angels’ all-time record with his 300th career home run during the COVID-shortened 2020 season.
Before hurting his calf in mid-May of 2021, Trout had a solid start to the season. His season ended when he was put on the 10-day injured list and then moved to the 60-day disabled list. Trout became just the second Angels player to ever reach 1,000 runs in his career when he returned to the field in 2022.
